The Show Starts with News from the OMVC


OMVC announced today Washington DC, Seattle and Atlanta are leading the way in Mobile DTV with a commitment to be on the air this year.

Two stations in each market will participate in early testing. All Mobile DTV equipment manufacturers and 5 group owners are involved.

Signals will be provided from NBCU, FOX, ION and others with the first signals in the DC market.

The LG Maize, Voyager, and Lotus phones and a portable DVD player will all be equipped with DTV Mobile. LG will be in mass-production of chips by June 2009. Samsung is also engaged in product development.

Dell's new Inspiron Netbooks will also have Mobile DTV receivers and Dell is a new member of OMVC.

Also, Kenwood is now selling their Mobile DTV systems for cars.
